The Central Energy Fund (CEF) is inviting deserving students to apply for their 2024 bursary programme. Applicants have until the 28th of January to submit their online applications.

About the Central Energy Fund Bursary

The Central Energy Fund Bursary aims to uplift and develop the South African society especially those from poor backgrounds, the bursary program covers a variety of fields ensuring proper and valuable investment that not only benefits the individual awarded the bursary but also the communities they are from. The bursary offers students who might not have the financial ability to pursue or continue their studies.

FIELD OF STUDY

The bursary programme is open to students who are pursuing or want to pursue an undergraduate qualification in the following fields:

• Accounting
• Investment 
• Business Development 
• Finance
• Information Technology 
• Supply Chain 
• Human Resources 
• Industrial Psychology 
• LLB/Law
• Corporate Affairs
• Risk Management 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CENTRAL ENERGY FUND BURSARY

To qualify for the Central Energy Fund Bursary you must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen 
• Must between 16 and 25 years of age 
• Must have completed Matric 
• Must be studying or intend to study towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above 
• Must be studying or intend to study at a South African accredited University
• Must demonstrate financial need 
• Priority will be given to applicants from designated groups (black or women or disabled)

CENTRAL ENERGY FUND BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Certified copy of South African ID
• Certified copy of Matric results 
• Applicants CV
• Full academic record (if currently studying)
• Proof of acceptance/registration for academic year
• Proof of Parents/Legal Guardians income (latest payslip OR proof of social grant OR affidavit confirming unemployment)
• Certified copies of South African ID of parents/guardians 
• Proof of residence
