About the Food For Mzansi Bursary
Agri Skills Transfer and the well-known platform Food For Mzansi have partnered to provide a glimmer of hope in the form of the Food For Mzansi Bursary with a startling budget of R1.6 million, this program seeks to equip 20 worthy students with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead in agriculture in the future. The bursary is intended for driven South Africans who have just finished their Grade 12 and have aspirations of making a significant contribution to the agriculture industry. Bursaries not only allow deserving students to follow their academic goals but also provide them with the information and skills necessary to significantly improve their rural communities.
FIELD OF STUDY
The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue a NATIONAL DIPLOMA qualification in the following fields:
- Animal Production
- Plant Production
- Agri Sales and Services
The two-year agriculture-related qualifications will be completed online with Agri Skills Transfer (An AgriSETA training provider)
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FOOD FOR MZANSI BURSARY
To qualify for the Food for Mzansi Bursary you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric (or in Matric in 2023)
- Must intend on studying a National diploma qualification within the above fields with Agri Skills Transfer
- Must be able to begin studies in 2024
- Must have access to a device (smartphone, laptop or tablet) for online learning.
- Must have access to internet connection (Wi-Fi or Data)
- Must able be to complete 120 credits per year

- Tuition costs
FOOD MZANSI BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Applications for the Food for Mzansi Bursary must be submitted with following documents:
- Certified copy of Matric Certificate OR
- Most recent Grade 12 results.
How to apply for the Food for Mzansi Bursary - 2024
To apply for the Food for Mzansi Bursary for the 2024 academic year you need to:
- Record a short video explaining why you are deserving of the Food For Mzansi Bursary at Agri Skills Transfer. You MUST start your video with “Dear Food for Mzansi”.
- Upload your video on your chosen social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok) and tag Food For Mzansi and use the #DearFoodForMzansi hashtag.
- Visit the Food for Mzansi website HERE and complete the online application form.
CLOSING DATE:
