Ithuba Holdings RF (Pty) Ltd  is inviting grade 12 learners to apply for the Ithuba Bursary programme. Applications will remain open for the 2024 academic year until 08 January 2024.

About ITHUBA Bursary

ITHUBA is a privately owned South African company founded by the Zamani Equity Fund and is registered with Companies Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) in accordance with the South African Companies Act of 2008. ITHUBA Bursary programme aims to make a sustainable impact in education and increase expertise and key skills for the market in South Africa. For the 2024 year, the ITHUBA Bursary Programme will award a number of deserving learners with 100% bursaries

 

The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue undergraduate qualification in the following fields:

  • Accounting
  • Management Accounting & Finance
  • Marketing
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Communication Networks
  • Information Systems
  • Software Development

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ITHUBA BURSARY

To qualify for the ITHUBA Bursary you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric OR in matric
  • You must NOT be older than 23 years old
  • You must intend to study towards an undergraduate qualification in the above mentioned courses
  • You must have been accepted to study at a public university in South Africa
  • You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for each subject, in your previous year of study
  • You must achieved a minimum overall average of 70%, in your previous year of study
  • You must be willing to specialise in a Commerce or IT field of study
  • You must be from a previously disadvantaged background
  • You must have a total household income of NOT more than R350 000 per year

 

ITHUBA BURSARY COVERS:

  • Tuition fees
  • Accommodation
  • Textbooks and other study materials
  • Laptop
  • Stipend

 

ITHUBA BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • Your certified ID Document
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate OR
  • Certified copy latest results (if currently in matric)
  • Certified ID copies of parents/guardian
  • proof of parents/legal guardian’s income (latest payslip or employment letter if employed/ affidavit if an informal trader/ affidavit if unemployed/ SASSA letter if receiving a grant: certified copy)
  • a provisional letter of admission from a South African tertiary institution (Acceptance letter)
  • a provisional letter of admission from a South African tertiary institution’s residency or private accommodation,
  • a motivational letter motivating why the ITHUBA Bursary Programme should be awarded to you and how you plan to contribute to your community’s upliftment.

 

How to apply for the ITHUBA Bursary - 2024

Applying for the ITHUBA Bursary is straightforward. All applications should be submitted online on their website. Click on the following link to apply: https://ithubalottery.co.za/ithuba-bursary/

You will be required to create an account then login to fill in your personal details and to upload supporting documents. Once you have completed the online form click on the "Submit" tab. All applications should be sent online. Applications not submitted online will not be considered for funding.

 

CLOSING DATE:
