Accepted to study at Mangosuthu University of Technology and haven't registered yet? Don't worry because MUT (Mangosuthu University of Technology) 2024 late registrations are open from 09 February 2024. Students have until 23 February 2024 to register for their desired study programmes. 

 

MUT 2024 Late Registrations

First time entering and returning students who are not registered are encouraged to use the late registration period to register. Mangosuthu University of Technology 2024 academic year classes will officially commerce on Monday the 19th of February 2024. 

 

Take note of the following before you register at MUT:

  • Know the fees of your study programme (Tuition)
  • If you are a first year, keep in mind that you need to pay both the registration and offer acceptance fee
  • Know finance rules (when to pay, when and how to get refund etc..)
  • Be accountable and don't fall into debts

 

How to register at MUT for 2024 academic year

Students are encouraged to register online on the MUT website. First time entering students who are struggling and need critical support can walk in at MUT to be assisted with registrations. Help desks and other support services are available and fully operational to provide students with any assistance they may require during the late registration period. 

Step by Step guide on how to register online at MUT for 2024 academic year:

  1. Go to the MUT website: www.mut.ac.za
  2. Click on the "Student Portal" link.
  3. Click on "STUDENT IENABLER".
  4. Click on "Student".
  5. Enter your student number and PIN (Personal Identification Number).
  6. Click on the "Login" button.
  7. Once logged in, click on "Registration" on the left-hand side of the screen.
  8. Select the courses you want to register for and follow the on-screen instructions.
  9. Click on "Submit Registration" on the left-hand side of the screen
  10. Click on Your Employment Status and select UNEMPLOYED option.
  11. Click on Save and Continue.
  12. The list of subjects you are eligible to register for will appear. Select all the subjects by clicking on the check boxes next to each subject.
  13. Click on Save and Continue button.
  14. Click on Continue button.
  15. Click on Accept Registration button. Registration is now complete.
  16. Once you have completed registration, you must click on Proof of Registration which is on the left-hand side of the screen.
  17. You can print your registration status.
  18. Activation of your student card is done on campus.

Note: Steps 1-18 must be completed before you are fully registered as a MUT student.

 

How to pay MUT registration Fee

Students are required to pay a Minimum Initial Payment (MIP) upon registration. This deposit will be set-off against the fee account of the student. The MIP amount to be paid is dependent on whether the student requires tuition or whether the student requires both tuition and accommodation. The MIP also includes various levies that are payable by the student. These levies must also be paid at the start of each academic year/semester.

To pay your fees and registration fee, you need to physically visit the bank to deposit the fee/payment. 

How to pay your fees with direct deposit.

  1. Deposit directly into MUT's bank account (Visit the MUT website to get accurate banking details)
  2. Use your student number as the reference number on the deposit slip.
  3. For international students without a South African ID number, use your student number or passport number as the deposit reference.
  4. Email a copy of your deposit slip to the Cashiers Office within 24 hours. Use this email address: [email protected]
  5. OR you can hand deliver the deposit slip to the cashier office

NOTE: An acceptance fee of R500 is charged for each application. This fee is non-refundable and forms part of the deposit once the registration is successful.
