Benefits of Studying an Extended Course at MUT:

  1. If your matric results did not meet the minimum entry requirements for your preferred course, an extended degree gives you a second opportunity to pursue your studies.
  2. The foundational courses prepare students by reinforcing fundamental academic skills, making the transition to mainstream studies smoother.
  3. Students in extended programmes often benefit from smaller class sizes and additional academic support from lecturers and tutors.
  4. Once students complete the extended programme, they progress to the mainstream course and graduate with the same degree as those who entered directly.
  5. The extended curriculum helps students adapt to university life, develop good study habits, and gain confidence in their academic abilities.
