The South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP) Bursary applications are open for 2024 academic year. Applicants have until 15 December 2023 to submit their funding applications.

COVERED FIELDS:

The bursary programme is open to students who  want to OR are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in the following fields:

• BSc Property Studies
• BSc Real Estate
• BSc Property Development
• BCom Honours Property Valuation and Management
• National Diploma Real Estate
• Finance (BCom) (majoring in Property Valuation and Management)
• BCom Property Valuation and Management
• BSc Property Management (BSc)BSc

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SAIBPP BURSARY

To qualify for the SAIBPP bursary you must meet the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen
• Be currently in Matric (in 2023) or have completed Matric
• Must intend or studying full-time, towards a degree qualification in one of the fields of study listed above
• Must have a strong academic record
• Must have proven financial need
• Must be willing to become a student member of SAIBPP and engage in community outreach
• Students who have graduated with an undergraduate qualification and are intending to register for postgraduate studies

Additional Requirements

You must intend to study at one of the following public institutions: 

• University of Johannesburg
• University of the Witwatersrand
• University of Pretoria
• University of KwaZulu-Natal
• University of Cape Town
• Cape Peninsula University of Technology
• Tshwane University of Technology

 SAIBPP BURSARY COVERS THE FOLLOWING:

• Tuition fees,
• Textbooks and other study materials
• Laptops
• Accommodation
• Meals
• A monthly living allowance
• Transport (where required)

SAIBPP BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Your certified ID Document
• Certified copy of latest matric results, if currently in Matric
• Certified copy of grade 11 final results,if currently in Matric
• Certified copy of Matric certificate, if completed Matric
• Certified copy of Full academic record, if currently studying at tertiary level
• Proof of tertiary application and/or registration
• Proof of residence
• Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest pay slips if employed, affidavit if
  unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable)
• Motivational letter to support your application
• 2 testimonials (1 from an educational official and 1 from a community leader or personal associate)
