SITA is inviting students to apply for their bursary program for the 2024 academic year. Interested students have until the 16th of February 2024 to submit their online applications.

About the SITA Bursary
The SITA Bursary Program seeks to close the skills gap in the field of information and communication technology by developing a technical pipeline. The program aims to find and assist gifted individuals who are pursuing degrees in the ICT field, such as information technology, cyber security, and computer science, ensuring that there is a greater supply of workers to fulfil the industry's rising demand, this in turn supports South Africa's broader digital transformation journey, making sure that the nation will profit from a trained labour force that can create innovation and expansion in the digital economy.
FIELD OF STUDY
The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue or are pursuing a undergraduate qualification in the following fields:
- BSc Computer Science
- BSc Cyber Security
- BSc Computer Science and Informatics with Artificial Intelligence
- BSc Information Technology
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SITA BURSARY
To qualify for the SITA Bursary you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric in 2023
- Must have passed matric with an average of 70%
- Must have NOT been approved for any other funding
- Must be accepted/ registered to study towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above
- Must be accepted/registered to study at a public accredited tertiary institution
- Students from previously disadvantaged groups are encouraged to apply
SITA BURSARY COVERS:
- Tuition Fees
- Prescribed study materials
- Meals
- Allowances
- Accommodation
- Work integrated learning, if required.
SITA BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
- Certified ID Copy of applicant
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Acceptance letter or Proof of Registration
- Curriculum Vitae
