Requirements of Diploma Courses Available for Late Applications at UNISA 2025
A National Senior Certificate (NSC) (Diploma endorsement) with at least 50% in the language of teaching and learning and with at least 40% in Mathematics or at least 70% for Mathematical Literacy,
OR
a Senior Certificate (SC) with at least a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning and with at least an E symbol on HG or D symbol on SG in Mathematics,
OR
any Higher Certificate obtained in the College of Economic and Management Sciences.
A National Senior Certificate (NSC) (Diploma endorsement) or equivalent with at least 50% in the language of teaching and learning, 50% in Mathematics or at least N4 Mathematics passed with a minimum of 50% and N4 English, or N4 Communication, or N4 Communication Technology passed with at least 50%,
OR
a Senior Certificate (SC) with at least a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning, and with at least a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in Mathematics, and a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in Physical Science, if any Physics or Chemistry modules form part of the curriculum of a selected qualification, or at least N4 Mathematics passed with a minimum of 50% and N4 English, or N4 Communication, or N4 Communication Technology passed with at least 50%,
OR
a Higher Certificate that satisfies the Mathematics and Language requirement.
An appropriate Bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with modules on NQF level 6 in the fields of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Taxation,
OR
any Bachelor's degree and a completed Advanced Certificate in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent.
An appropriate Diploma in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with modules on NQF level 6 in the fields of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Taxation,
OR
an appropriate Bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with modules on NQF level 6 in in the fields of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Taxation,

A general first degree or diploma, plus a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Mathematics completed up to second year level,
OR
a general first degree or diploma plus a former Higher Diploma in Education (Postgraduate) with Mathematics completed up to second year level.

A former cognate Advanced Certificate in Education (Level 6 on the former 8-level NQF)
OR
a former cognate Further Diploma in Education which follows a former professional teaching qualification,
OR
a former cognate four-year Higher Diploma in Education.
OR
a new cognate Advanced Certificate (Level 6 on the current 10 level NQF) which followed a former Diploma in Education (including a National Professional Diploma in Education) may also be presented for admission in an Advanced Diploma.
An appropriate 360 credit Diploma or National Diploma in Engineering Technology in Electrical Engineering,
OR
an Advanced Certificate in Engineering Practice in Electrical Engineering at NQF level 6,
from an accredited provider of higher education,
OR
a national or international equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 in the appropriate field.
An appropriate 360 credit Diploma or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering,
OR
an Advanced Certificate in Engineering Practice in Industrial Engineering at NQF level 6,
from an accredited provider of higher education,
OR
a national or international equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 in the appropriate field.
Applicants who do not comply with the above requirements should consider applying for a lower level qualification for which they meet the statutory and additional requirements.
