  • Durban University of Technology (opening: 01 March 2024)

  • University of Kwazulu Natal  (opening: 01 March 2024)

Meeting the requirements for nursing at TUT, for instance, doesn't guarantee that you meet requirements for the same course at the University of Pretoria. The required documents for universities in South Africa vary slightly depending on the specific university and the course you are applying for. Here are some of the most commonly required documents:

  • Your certified ID copy 
  • Your certified matric certificate/statement 
  • If currently in matric, your grade 11 final report 
  • If currently in matric, your Grade 12 June Report (Majority of universities do not require June report)
  • Certified ID copies of your next of kin or parents
  • Application fee slip
  • Declaration Form

University application fees in South Africa vary across universities. Some universities do not require an application fee. Application fees in South Africa usually range between R100 to R300. The universities that will open in march for 2025 applications ALL require an application fee for your application to be considered. 

Application Fees of universities that will open in March for 2025 applications:

  • Tshwane University of Technology: R240 application fee
  • University of Witwatersrand: R100 for South African applicants and R700 for International applicants.
  • CA0 (Durban University of Technology, Mangosuthu University of Technology, University of Kwazulu Natal and University of Zululand): R250 for South African applicants and R300 for International applicants.

NOTE: If you are want to apply at Durban University of Technology, Mangosuthu University of Technology, University of Kwazulu Natal and University of Zululand you MUST apply through CAO (Central Application Office). CAO allows an applicant to apply online for up to six programme choices at any University, University of Technology or any partnering Private Colleges in Kwa-Zulu Natal and pay a SINGLE application/administration fee of R250 for South African applicants and R300 for International applicants. The applicant can pay their administration fee online or they could pay via an EasyPay outlet.
