Requirements for the 2026 Sage External Bursary
To apply for the Sage External Bursary, you must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be a previously disadvantaged individual (PDI)
- Be accepted into a public university in South Africa
- Have a family income between R350,000 and R500,000 per year
(If your income is lower and you're not receiving NSFAS, you may still be considered) - Be studying or planning to study IT, Accounting, or Computer Science
(Students with disabilities may study any field) - Have a pass rate of 65% or higher
(Students with disabilities may be accepted with a slightly lower pass rate) - Be in any undergraduate year (1st to final year)
(Postgraduate studies are also accepted for students with disabilities)
