The bursary programme is open to students who are pursuing or want to pursue an undergraduate/postgraduate qualification in the following fields:
- Actuarial Science
- Computer Science

- Statistics
 
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CAPITEC BANK BURSARY PROGRAMME.
To qualify for the Capitec Bank bursary programme, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must have completed matric and in possession of a National Senior Certificate
- You must be accepted to study or studying a qualification within the above listed fields
- You must be accepted or studying full-time an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification at an accredited South African tertiary institution
- You must have a clear credit and criminal record
- You must be registered to study at a DHET/ CHE registered tertiary Institution (university, college, Private Colleges, etc) (the bursary does NOT cover TVETs, Community Colleges, Graduate/ Business School, or Distance-learning Student ie. UNISA, etc)
- You must achieve a Bachelor’s Pass with a minimum average of 65% in Matric
- You must achieve a a minimum average of 65% for the latest full academic-years (2024 and 2025 so far), if currently studying
- Preference will be given to students on track to finish their qualification in the minimum-time required (not N+1 or higher) and students in line with the sponsor’s transformation/ employment equity objectives and requirements
