What You Need Before Applying at CUT for 2026

Before you start the online application, make sure you’ve got everything ready. Having the correct documents will make your application process smooth and stress-free.

Here’s what you will need:

If you are a Grade 12 learner:

  • A certified copy of your Grade 11 final report or mid-year Grade 12 results
  • A certified copy of your ID
  • A valid email address and cellphone number

 

If you have already finished school:

  • Your matric certificate or NSC
  • Academic transcripts (if transferring from another university)
  • ID or passport (for international students)

 

Here's How to Apply Online to Central University of Technology for 2026

  1. Visit the Central University of Technology application site
  2. Click on the "New Application" button (if you are a new student)
  3. Click on the "New Applications" button (under prospective students)
  4. Answer few questions and accept the application rules and click "continue"
  5. Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
  6. Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
  7. Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
  8. Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next";
  9. Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
  10. Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept"(twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
  11. Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
  12. Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
  13. Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
  14. Confirmation Page, end of application

 

What Happens After You Apply?

Once your application is submitted, it goes through a screening process to determine if you meet the minimum entrance requirements.

If everything is in order, you will receive communication via SMS or email with updates about your application status.
