Does UJ offer nursing?

Nursing course is offered at University of Johannesburg (UJ). Nursing requires the following minimum requirements to be accepted at UJ:

  • APS: 30 excluding Life Orientation
  • English: Level 5
  • Mathematics: Level 4
  • Life Sciences: Level 4
  • Physical Sciences: Level 4

Does UJ offer law courses?

UJ does offer law courses such as BA Law, BCom Law and LLB at undergraduate level. At postgraduate level they offer the following law courses:

Which courses are not funded by NSFAS in UJ?

The following courses are not funded by NSFAS at the University of Johannesburg (UJ):

  • Short courses
  • Part-time courses
  • Second degrees
  • Postgraduate courses

NSFAS only funds full-time undergraduate students who are studying for their first degree. NSFAS also does not fund students who are studying at private institutions. If you are interested in studying a course at UJ that is not funded by NSFAS, you need to apply for a bursary from another organization or company. 

 

Does UJ have free courses?

The following free courses are currently available at UJ:

  • Introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals
  • Financial Literacy – Be Money Wise
  • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in the 4IR
  • African Insights

There are no entry requirements for any of the free courses, and there are no classes to attend. All assessments are in the form of quizzes or multiple choice questions. Once you have successfully completed a course, you will be issued with a digital certificate. The free courses offered by UJ are ONLY available to the University of Johannesburg  first year students.
