Fasken Scholarship
Fasken is offering students the opportunity to apply for its 2025 scholarship programme. In tribute to esteemed former colleagues Lundi Gadla and Ricci Schwab Lyons, the firm will award two scholarships. The Ricci Schwab Lyons Scholarship supports students pursuing Law, while the Lundi Gadla Scholarship is open to students at Nelson Mandela University across all fields of study.

Recipients of the Ricci Schwab Lyons Scholarship are expected to participate in the firm's vacation work programmes and, upon graduation, consider accepting articles of clerkship position at Fasken. The bursary programme is open to students who are pursuing an undergraduate qualification in the following field:
- Law for Ricci Schwab Lyons Scholarship
- Any field of study at the Nelson Mandela University for Lundi Gadla Scholarship
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FASKEN SCHOLARSHIP
To qualify for the Ricci Schwab Lyons Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be studying towards a Law qualification
- Must be entering your 2nd, 3rd or penultimate year of study
- Must have maintained a minimum average of 65%, for all years of study completed
- Must be willing to participate in vacation work programs offered by the Firm
- Must have potential to become an effective attorney at Fasken
- Must demonstrate leadership skills
To qualify for the Lundi Gadla Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be studying at Nelson Mandela University
- Must be entering your 2nd, 3rd or last year of study
- Must be in need of financial support for your studies
- Must displays leadership ability
