About the John Davidson Educational Trust Bursary

The bursary program is intended for students who would find it difficult to finance their postgraduate studies in accounting or engineering. By concentrating on these two areas (Accounting & Engineering) they hope to close skills gaps or meet industrial demands by fostering the growth of qualified professionals in South Africa. 

FIELD OF STUDY

The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue or are pursuing a postgraduate qualification in the following fields:

• Accounting 
• Engineering

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOHN DAVIDSON EDUCATIONAL TRUST BURSARY

To qualify for the John Davidson Educational Trust Bursary you must meet the following requirements:

• Must have a STRONG academic record 
• Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in your undergraduate studies 
• Must demonstrate financial need
• Must be studying towards a Postgraduate Diploma, Honours or Masters qualification in Engineering or Accounting field
• Must be studying at one of the following South African Universities (University of Cape Town, University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Witwatersrand and Rhodes University)
