The KN Inzuzo Trust has officially opened bursary applications for the 2026 academic year, offering financial support to deserving South African students who wish to further their studies at recognised higher education institutions. This bursary is aimed at empowering young people through education and skills development, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

About the KN Inzuzo Trust Bursary:

The KN Inzuzo Trust is committed to investing in education as a way of creating long-term positive change in communities. Through its bursary programme, the trust supports students who show academic potential but lack the financial means to pursue tertiary education.

 

Fields of study the KN Inzuzo Trust Bursary Funds

Students must be studying or intending to study an undergraduate or postgraduate studies in the following fields: 

  • Accounting (BCom)
  • Financial Management (BCom)
  • Information Systems (BCom)
  • Logistics (BCom)
  • Logistics Management (Diploma)
  • Transport Economics (BCom)

NB: Bursary funding will be paid directly to the university

 

Requirements

The KN Inzuzo Trust Bursary is open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be Black and female
  • Must have completed Matric
  • Must be studying full-time towards one of the qualifications listed above
  • Must be enrolled for 2nd year, 3rd year or postgraduate studies in 2026
  • Must be studying at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa
  • Must have a strong academic record
  • Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in your most recent year of study
  • Must be in financial need
  • Must have strong leadership capability and have engaged in school, university or community activities
  • Students with disabilities are welcome to apply
  • First year students will NOT be funded

 

Required Supporting Documents

Applicants are required to submit certified copies of the following documents:

  • South African ID document
  • Recent passport-sized photo
  • Latest academic results (Grade 12 or tertiary results)
  • Proof of acceptance or registration for 2026
  • Proof of household income or financial need
  • High School or University awards for academic/ leadership/ sport/ entrepreneurial achievements
  • Letter of reference from a high school teacher or university lecturer (signed and stamped)
  • Financial statements or quote from University for cost of tuition, books, accommodation etc
  • Parents or guardian’s proof of household income
  • Parents or guardian’s proof of residence (certified copy)
  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (maximum 4 pages)
