Minimum Entry Requirements for the KZN College of Nursing Diploma in Nursing
The minimum requirements depend on whether you completed matric before 2008 or from 2008 onwards.
For Applicants with Matric Before 2008
- Grade 12 (Std 10) with a minimum of 25 points
- English: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
- Biology / Physical Science / Physiology: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
- Mathematics: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
For Applicants with Matric From 2008
- National Senior Certificate: Diploma pass and above
- Minimum of 25 APS points
- English: Level 4
- Home Language (First Additional Language): Level 3
- Maths Level 3 / Maths Literacy Level 5
- Life Science or Physical Science: Level 4
- Life Orientation: Level 4 (mandatory but not scored)
- Any other 2 subjects
