Programmes Offered at Lovedale TVET College 

Lovedale TVET College offers a wide range of accredited programmes that are responsive to the needs of the economy. These include; National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Programmes, Report 191 (NATED) Programmes and skills programmes. 

The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Programmes are three-year full-time programmes designed for students who have completed Grade 9 or higher. NCV programmes combine theory and practical skills.

The Report 191 (NATED) Programmes also known as N1-N6 programmes are designed for students who have completed Grade 12. They are divided into two streams: Business Studies (N4-N6) and Engineering Studies (N1-N6).

 

Admission Requirements For Second Semester Courses at Lovedale TVET College. 

Here are the general entry requirements for each of the following National Diploma (N4–N6) courses offered at TVET colleges in South Africa. These diplomas are awarded after completing N4 to N6 levels, followed by 18 months of relevant practical work experience.

National Diploma: Public Management (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • Preferably with subjects such as Business Studies, Economics, or History
  • Strong communication and administration skills are beneficial

National Diploma: Financial Management (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is recommended
  • Accounting is advantageous but not always compulsory

National Diploma: Human Resources Management (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Business-related subjects (like Business Studies) are helpful

National Diploma: Business Management (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • Subjects like Business Studies, Economics, and Accounting are beneficial
  • Basic numeracy and literacy are essential

National Diploma: Management Assistant (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • English as a subject is usually required
  • Computer literacy is an advantage
  • Typing or Office Practice in school is helpful

National Diploma: Art & Design (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • Art as a subject is strongly recommended
  • A portfolio of previous work may be required for admission
  • Basic drawing and design skills are expected

National Diploma: Farming Management (N4–N6) Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • Agricultural Science is an advantage
  • A background in or passion for agriculture is beneficial

  3. Select the year 2025
  4. Select Semester OR Trimester OR NCV
  5. You will be asked to select the campus and the registration type (Full time)
