Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) has officially extended its 2025 second semester application deadline to 31 July 2025. This extension gives new applicants extra time to secure a space at one of KwaZulu-Natalâs leading universities of technology. MUT is currently accepting second semester applications for select engineering and science-related diploma programmes until 31 July 2025.

All MUT applications are processed through the Central Applications Office (CAO). Follow these steps:
Go to the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za
Click on âApplyâ and enter your ID or passport number.
Complete the online form with accurate personal and academic details.
Select your preferred course from the list of available programmes.
Before submitting your application:
Double-check that all information is correct.
Confirm that youâve selected the correct course and entry term.
Click âProcess My Applicationâ once satisfied.
Make sure to upload certified copies of the following documents:
Final Grade 12 results or your latest academic transcript
ID document (or passport for international applicants)
Proof of residence or any other supporting documents
South African citizens: R250 (non-refundable)
International applicants: R300 (non-refundable)
Applications are only processed once the administration fee is received.
Apply as early as possible â while the deadline is now extended to 31 July 2025, spaces may fill up before then.
Meet course requirements â especially in Maths and Physical Sciences if applying for engineering-related programmes.
Have backup options â apply for more than one course to increase your chances of being accepted.
