How to Apply for MUT Late Applications for 2026

All first-year applications to Mangosuthu University of Technology are processed through the Central Applications Office (CAO).

Applicants must apply online via the CAO system by following the standard application process, which allows candidates to apply to multiple institutions using a single application form.

Once an application is submitted:

Applicants may select up to six programme choices

Supporting documents must be uploaded

An administration fee must be paid before the application is released to institutions for consideration

Late application administration fees apply and differ for South African and international applicants. Applications are only processed once payment has been received.

Important Advisory to Late Applicants

MUT has advised applicants to take note of the following:

Late applications are not guaranteed admission

Courses may close without prior notice once full

Incomplete applications may delay processing

Applicants should regularly monitor their email and CAO portal for updates

Where a programme is full, applicants may consider alternative programmes within the same faculty, subject to entry requirements.

Admission Requirements

Prospective students are encouraged to consult the official MUT prospectus for detailed minimum admission requirements for each programme. Requirements vary by qualification and faculty, and meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee admission.

The prospectus also outlines faculty-specific conditions, documentation requirements and application guidelines.

2026 Late Application Period

Mangosuthu University of Technology 2026 late applications are currently open until 28 February 2026. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early and rely on official communication channels for updates.
