About Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Bursary
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Bursary Program aims to address the skills shortage in critical areas within the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, to provide financial support to academically deserving students who are financially disadvantaged and to contribute to the development of a more diverse and representative workforce in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.

The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue OR are pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate qualification in the following fields:
- Internal Auditing (Bachelors Degree)
- Journalism (Diploma)
- Business Administration (Masters)
- Business Administration (Postgraduate Diploma)
- Horticulture (National Diploma)
- Human Resource Management (Advanced Diploma)
- Development Finance (Postgraduate Diploma)
- Electrical Engineering (National Diploma)
- Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s Degree)
- Graphic Design (Bachelors Degree)
- Bachelor of Arts General
- Bachelor of Law
- Human Settlement Management (Bachelor of Administration)
- Safety Management (National Diploma)

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NELSON MANDELA BAY MUNICIPALITY BURSARY
To qualify for the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Bursary you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Matric OR in matric (class of 2023)
- You must be studying or intend to to study full time towards the above mentioned qualifications.
- You must be studying or intend to study at a recognised and accredited public university in South Africa.
- You must be unemployed and have a proven financial need
- You must have achieved a minimum academic average of 60% in the 2023 academic year
- You must have achieved a minimum academic average of 60% for the required subjects aligned with the qualification that you are studying towards, among the above listed
- You must reside within Gqeberha, Kariega and Despatch, in the Eastern Cape Province

NELSON MANDELA BAY MUNICIPALITY BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
- Your certified ID Document
- Certified matric statement or certificate
- Grade 12 mid-year results (if currently in matric)
- Acceptance Letter
- Your parents or guardians certified ID copies (if applicant is under 18)
- 1 (one) page motivational letter of 500 to 1000 words on why you should be awarded the bursary
- Proof of Residence
- Course outline for duration of qualification
- Course timetable for duration of qualification
- Quotation from institution for all study-related expenses
