About the Ninety One Bursary

The Ninety One Bursary aims to empower bright young matriculants who need both financial and non-financial support to achieve their academic goals and build fulfilling careers. By investing in these future leaders, the programme strengthens South Africa's workforce in sectors where skilled professionals are needed. Ninety One’s aim is to attract the best talent from varying backgrounds. They are inviting bursary applications from students who are ready to take on the future, and who would like to start their first year of study in 2025.
 

FIELD OF STUDY

The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue an undergraduate qualification in the following fields:

• Business
• Finance
• Economics
• Technology and Computer Science 
• Engineering
• Healthcare (excluding medicine, dentistry, veterinary science)
• Psychology
• Education (Mathematics and Science)

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NINETY ONE BURSARY

To qualify for the Ninety One Bursary, you must meet the following requirements:

• You must be in Matric (grade 12)
• You must intend on studying full time in one of the above mentioned fields at a South African university.
• You must demonstrate academic excellence and leadership qualities. 
• You must have achieved minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics or Sciences in Grade 11.
• You must be a South African citizen.
• You must be under the age of 21 in 2025.
• You must demonstrate financial need (less than R600 000 per annum)
• You must meet the minimum entrance requirements for their chosen field of study.

NINETY ONE BURSARY COVERS: 

• Tuition 
• Accommodation
• Meals
• Learning material.

NINETY ONE BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Certified Copy of your ID document.
• Certified copy of your Grade 11 final results. 
• Certified copy of your latest Matric results. 
• Proof of your application/acceptance at a South African university for 2025. 
• Proof of parents or guardians household income (latest payslips if employed/ affidavit if unemployed/ SASSA or pension slip if applicable)

Checked requirements and you qualify? Apply before the deadline. Applications for the Ninety One Bursary can be made via the Career Wise application site. Below are steps on how to submit your application at Ninety One for their bursary programme.

• Click on the "Application Platform" tab
• Register a profile
• Login to apply online
