About the Northam Booysendal Platinum Mine Bursary
The Northam Booysendal Platinum Mine Bursary aims to empower financially disadvantaged students, close the skills gap in the mining industry, create a diverse workforce and help Northam Booysendal Platinum Mine maintain a more inclusive and varied workforce by providing support to students from various areas.
FIELD OF STUDY
The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue/ pursuing an undergraduate qualification in the following fields:
- Mine Survey
- Rock Engineering
- Mining Engineering
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NORTHAM BOOYSENDAL PLATINUM MINE BURSARY
To qualify for the Northam Booysendal Platinum Mine Bursary you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have passed Maths and Science in Matric
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying or intend to study one of the qualification listed above
- Must have passed all first year modules (if currently studying)
- Must be studying/ intend on studying at a public university in South Africa.
- Preference will be given to students from Mashishing, Rosenthal and Steelpoort (Mpumalanga/Limpopo)
NOTE: You are encouraged to apply even if you are not from the listed areas

- Certified copy of South African ID
- Certified copy of Matric certificate/results
- Proof of registration OR Acceptance Letter
- Certified copy of academic record (if currently studying)
