Trimester 2: Admission Requirements Explained

General Admission Criteria

All applicants must be South African citizens or possess a valid study permit if you are an international student. Your latest academic results will play a crucial role in the admission evaluation.

NC(V) Level 2 Entry Requirements

For the National Certificate (Vocational) Level 2 programmes, you will need a Grade 9 pass, or a Grade 10 or Grade 11 report. For any Engineering-focused NC(V) programmes, a pass in Mathematics is a mandatory requirement.

Report 191 (NATED) N4 Entry Requirements

To qualify for the Report 191 (NATED) N4 programmes, you must have a National Senior Certificate (Matric) or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to applicants with a Diploma or Bachelor's pass. Aspiring Engineering students in NATED programmes must have passed Mathematics and Physical Science.

Orbit TVET College strives to make vocational education accessible. Annual tuition fees typically range from R9,000 to R18,000. For individual NATED subjects, fees can vary between R557 and R2,209. Specific NC(V) programme fees include R3,270 for Systems Analysis & Design (L3-L4) and R4,505 for Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking) (L2-L4).

There is no application fee required. Furthermore, South African students who meet the criteria can apply for NSFAS bursaries. Eligibility is generally based on a household income below R350,000 per annum. We strongly advise starting your NSFAS application as early as possible.
