Supporting Future Agricultural Leaders

The South African Society of Crop Production (SASCP) was founded in Pretoria in 1971 by a group of crop science experts committed to advancing the science of crop production. Over the decades, the society has played a key role in promoting research, environmental stewardship, and technology transfer in the agricultural sector. SASCP’s members are actively involved in crucial research areas including soil and crop management, and the study of protein seeds, maize, and oil crops.

With this bursary, the organisation aims to remove financial barriers for students who are passionate about crop science and want to contribute to ensuring sustainable food systems in South Africa.
