Sol Plaatje University Processes High Volume of 2026 Applications After Matric Results Release
Sol Plaatje University (SPU) has issued an important update to prospective students awaiting feedback on their 2026 admission applications, following the release of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) results on 13 January 2026.
The university confirmed that it is currently processing and updating a large number of application statuses for the 2026 academic year. Due to the volume of applications received after the matric results were released, updates are being made on an ongoing basis rather than all at once.
Applicants have been urged to remain patient and to regularly monitor their application status online through the official SPU application portal. The university emphasized that frequent status checks are the best way for applicants to stay informed as decisions are finalized.
SPU further advised that applicants whose statuses have not changed by 30 January 2026 should reach out for assistance through the appropriate faculty or the Central Applications and Admissions Office.
