TUT 2025 Registration Closing Date Extended

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has extended the closing date for 2025 registrations, giving students who were unable to register for various reasons another opportunity to secure their place at the institution. The new TUT 2025 registration deadline is Friday, 14 February 2025.

How to register at TUT for the 2025 academic year

The Tshwane University of Technology 2025 registrations should be completed online on their portal. Below we have stated all the steps to follow to register successfully at TUT for 2025.

1. Visit the TUT official website
2. Click on "Apply Now" tab
3. When asked if you have student number select "yes"
4. Enter your student number and pin
5. Click on the menu
6. Click on Registration and read through the Memorandum of Agreement.
7. Scroll down and click on Accept conditions.
8. Verify your qualification name and select your employment status.
9. Click Save and Continue, then proceed to Add Subjects to registration.
10. Select your subjects and click Save and Proceed.
11. Verify the selected subjects. If you need to change a subject, click Restart Process and start over.
12. Finally, click on Accept Registration.
13. The proof of registration will be displayed on the screen.
14. Print the proof of registration.
15. Complete the Examination Venue Selection Form on the TUT registration webpage.
16. E-mail the proof of registration along with the completed venue selection form to the relevant e-mail address provided on the page.

Required documents to successfully register at TUT for 2025

South African students should submit the following documents:

• Proof of payment (registration fee)
• Certified Documents (ID and Matric certificate/statement)
• Acceptance Letter

International students should submit the following documents:

• Study permit from their embassies
• HESA Certificate
• Medical Cover
• Both A-level and O-level results

How to pay Tshwane University of Technology Registration Fee 

TUT new and returning students are required to pay a Minimum Amount of R1500 before they can register for the 2025 academic year. This amount should be paid at least 72 hours before registration. Tshwane University of Technology offers several payment options for registration fees. These payment options are; direct deposits and electronic funds transfers (internet transfers)

If you choose to make a cash payment at the bank, write your full name and student number in clear block letters on the deposit slip. Please keep the deposit documentation in a safe place. If you choose the EFT method, you need to make the payment 72 hours before the registration period closes in order to reflect in TUT's account.

 EFTs made from banks outside South Africa may take longer. It is recommended that foreign students make payment at least 10 days before the registration deadline. Use your valid TUT student number as a reference. Please note that cash will not be accepted on campus for paying tuition, meals and residence fees.  Please make use of direct bank deposits, electronic bank transfers, and credit card payments.

TUT Registration Closing Date

The TUT new registration deadline for the 2025 academic year has been extended to 14 February 2025. Students are encouraged to register before the closing date. Students who fail to register by 14 February 2025 at TUT will be penalized when they register during the late registration period.
