1. Diploma in Agriculture in Plant Production

• Duration: 3 Years / 360 Credits
• Admission Requirements:
  
  • Minimum Admission Point Score (APS): 23 with Mathematics or 24 with Mathematical Literacy
  • English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 4
  • Mathematics: Level 3

2. Bachelor of Agriculture in Agricultural Extension and Rural Resource Management

• Duration: 3 Years / 360 Credits
• Admission Requirements:
  
  • Minimum Admission Point Score (APS): 26 with Mathematics or 28 with Mathematical Literacy
  • English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 4
  • Mathematics: Level 4
  • Mathematical Literacy: Level 6
  • Agriculture or Life Science: Level 4
  • Physical Science: Level 4

3. Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

• Duration: 4 Years / 480 Credits
• Admission Requirements:
  
  • Minimum Admission Point Score (APS): 33
  • Bachelor Endorsement
  • English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 4
  • Additional Language: Level 4
  • Mathematics: Level 3 or Mathematical Literacy: Level 4
• Selection Process:
  
  • Selection occurs monthly.
  • Applicants exceeding minimum requirements and completing their NSC or equivalent receive conditional offers.
  • Those who meet minimum requirements are placed on hold, and new applicants are considered monthly.
  • At least 50% of places are reserved for applicants completing the NSC or equivalent.

4. Bachelor of Social Work

• Duration: 4 Years / 480 Credits
• Admission Requirements:
  
  • Minimum Admission Point Score (APS): 32
  • English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 4
  • Mathematics: Level 2 or Mathematical Literacy: Level 3

5. Diploma in Hospitality Management

• Duration: 3 Years / 360 Credits
• Admission Requirements:
  
  
  • Minimum Admission Point Score (APS): 24 with Mathematics or 25 with Mathematical Literacy
  • Diploma Endorsement
  • English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 4

UMP Online Application: Step-by-Step Process

Step 1:

Step 2:

• Capture your biographical information and click “Save” to proceed.

Step 3:

• Create your 5-digit PIN (e.g., 24689), then click “Change PIN.”
• Your student number will appear on screen — note it down.

Step 4:

• You will be automatically redirected to the application portal.

Step 5:

• Click “POPI Act”, then click “Accept” to continue.

Step 6:

• Click “View Application Rules”, then click “Accept” again.

Step 7:

• Click on “Student Application.”

Step 8:

• Capture or update your biographical information.

Step 9:

• Add your address information — including Next of Kin, Account, Postal, and Physical Address.

Step 10:

• Update your contact information (cell number and email address).

Step 11:

• Capture disability information — select “No Disability” if not applicable.

Step 12:

• Enter your school-leaving subjects (Matric results).

Step 13:

• Add previous studies if you’ve studied at another institution before.

Step 14:

• Upload all required supporting documents.

Step 15:

• Click “Add New Academic Application” and select up to two programme choices.

Step 16:

• If you require accommodation, click “Add New Residence Application.”

Step 17:

• Complete your application — ensure your progress reaches 100% for confirmation.
