Duration: 1 Year
Purpose: This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of economic development, economic theory, and practical approaches to poverty alleviation and inclusive growth.
Entry Requirements:
An applicant must be in the possession of a Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) or NSC (National Senior Certificate).
OR NQF Level 4 or equivalent
An applicant must work with a Community Based Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations and religious or local government departments
An applicant must speak, read and write English
An applicant must have permission and support from their organisation and/or employer in writing
An applicant must commit themselves to all study blocks with full-time residential attendance and complete all fieldwork assignments.

Duration: 1 Year
Purpose: The Higher Certificate in Education (Adult Learning) is designed for individuals who are passionate about adult education and lifelong learning. It equips students with the foundational skills needed to teach and facilitate learning among adult learners in a variety of community, workplace, and training contexts.
Entry Requirements:
Minimum admission requirements for applicants who matriculated from 2008:
A National Senior Certificate;
A qualification or level of competence which Senate has deemed to be equivalent to the requirements stipulated in above;
At least two years experience in adult education, or in a related field.
Minimum admission rules for applicants who matriculated prior to 2008:
Grade 12, (NQF level 4), or equivalent;
At least two years experience in adult education, or in a related field.
Alternative Admission:
An applicant who does not meet the minimum admission requirements may have his/her prior learning assessed through approved procedures. These will include an oral interview, a written assessment and the presentation of documentary evidence to establish:
the nature and scope of the applicant’s past community involvement, which demonstrates adult education-related competencies;
the ability to handle the oral and written demands of the programme

Duration: 1 Year
Purpose: The Higher Certificate in Forensic Education prepares students with basic knowledge and practical understanding of forensic principles within the education context. A matric certificate and three years of working experience.
