VUT 2026 Registration: Dates, Fees and Guidelines picture

The Vaal University of Technology (VUT) 2026 registration process is completed online using the ITS i-Enabler system. The system can be accessed off campus, allowing students to register from anywhere with internet access.

VUT 2026 Registration Dates

Registration dates differ depending on your level of study:

  • Master’s and Doctoral students:
    08 January – 31 March 2026
  • First-time entering students:
    From 19 January 2026 (until qualification quotas are filled)
  • Senior students:
    23 January – 01 February 2026
  • Late registration / additions / cancellations:
    02 – 06 February 2026

Registration is subject to qualification capacity. Students are encouraged to register early.

 

VUT 2026 Registration Fees

Registration Fees

  • National students: R2 500.00
  • International students: 100% of total annual tuition fees

Residence Registration Fees

  • National residence students: R2 500.00
  • International residence students: 100% of total annual tuition fees

Confirmed NSFAS-funded students and other sponsored students may not be required to pay the registration fee.

 

 

#1 Registration Payment Information

How to Make Payment

  • Payments can be made at any ABSA branch or ABSA ATM at least 1 hour before registration.
  • Payments made from other banks must be done 48 hours before registration to allow processing time.

#2 Registration Guidelines

Follow these steps carefully to ensure a smooth registration process.

Online Registration Steps

  1. Visit the i-Enabler link:
    https://ienablerprod.vut.ac.za/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi_login
  2. Enter your student number and 5-digit PIN, then click Login.
  3. Select Academic Registration.
  4. Check your Academic Admission Status and ensure it shows Admitted for the qualification you want to register for.
  5. Click on Registration Restrictions:
    • Senior students: Resolve any financial, academic, or international restrictions.
    • First-time entrants: Ignore outstanding documents if you have already uploaded them.
  6. Read and accept the Rules and Regulations.
    • If the accept button does not appear, proceed to Submit Registration.
  7. View, save, or print your class timetable.

 

International Students Registration Process

All international students must complete additional verification before registration.

Required Steps

  1. Download and complete the Biographical Checklist Form from:
    www.vut.ac.za
  2. Email the completed form together with required documents to:

All documents must be:

  • Certified (not older than 3 months)
  • Scanned in full colour
  • Submitted in PDF format (no photos)

  • Medical aid (12 months)

Refugees / Asylum Seekers

  • Certified asylum or refugee documents
  • Certified passport copy

Relative / Dependent Visa

  • Proof of medical aid (12 months)

Special Permits (Lesotho / Zimbabwean Exemption)

  • Certified passport
  • Valid special permit

Diplomatic Visa

  • Certified passport
  • Valid diplomatic visa

Pending Visa (VFS Receipt)

  • Certified passport
  • VFS receipt
  • Signed undertaking
  • Medical aid (12 months)

 

Important Notes for International Students

  • Medical aid must cover the full academic year
  • Dependents must submit:
    • Employer confirmation letter of the main visa holder
    • Proof that the student is a registered dependent
  • Any cancelled medical aid becomes the student’s responsibility
