About This Programme

A four-year professional degree with approximately 30 places. Requires at least two South African languages. Graduates qualify for HPCSA registration as a Speech-Language Therapist after community service.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • Mathematics 3 40–49%
  • Physical Sciences or Life Sciences 3 40–49%
  • At least two of: English, Afrikaans, or another SA language 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC aggregate of at least 60% excluding Life Orientation
  • Mathematics 50%
  • Physical Sciences 50% OR Life Sciences 60%
  • At least TWO of the following THREE languages at 60%: English AND/OR Afrikaans AND/OR a third South African language
Approximately 30 places. Language requirements are particularly important for this programme. Academic and non-academic merits considered.
