About This Programme

A three-year diploma for students pursuing a practical career in music. Requires Grade VII practical standard and Grade III/IV theory. Audition and theoretical test are part of the selection process.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • Any four school subjects (excluding Life Orientation) 2 30–39%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC with at least 40% in each of four school subjects (excluding Life Orientation)
  • Practical standard equivalent to Grade VII in classical music
  • Theoretical knowledge equivalent to Grade III/IV theory
