About This Programme

A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree preparing graduates to practise as advocates, attorneys, state advocates, legal advisors, magistrates and public prosecutors.

Admission Requirements
Minimum APS score of 31

Required Subjects NSC levels

  • English 5 60–69%
  • Additional Language 4 50–59%
One of the following
  • Mathematics 3 40–49%
  • Mathematical Literacy 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • APS 31 with Mathematics OR 32 with Mathematical Literacy
  • Additional Language requirement waived for international students with a non-South African secondary school-leaver's certificate that does not include a second language
APS 31 with Mathematics or APS 32 with Mathematical Literacy. English 5 (60%+), Additional Language 4 (50%+), Mathematics 3 (40%+) or Mathematical Literacy 4 (40%+). Meeting the Faculty's minimum requirements does not necessarily guarantee admission due to space constraints.
