About This Programme

A four-year degree preparing students to teach Grade R to Grade 3 at primary schools, with specialisation in foundation phase literacy, numeracy, and life skills.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English Home Language or English First Additional Language 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Police clearance certificate (PCC) recommended.
  • Declaration under oath in terms of the National Child Protection Register (NCPR) required.
Language modules for English, Afrikaans and an Indigenous African language are offered in home-language contexts. APS excludes Life Orientation.
