About This Programme

A three-year undergraduate degree in architectural studies providing a foundation in design, theory, technology and the context of architecture in South Africa and globally.

Required Subjects

  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 4 50–59%
  • Mathematics 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC Bachelor's degree pass
  • Written and graphic selection exercise required
  • Interview may be required
Closing date is 30 June 2026. Acceptance depends on departmental selection. Applicants with a Wits APS of 30-33 may be accepted on the basis of exceptional scores in the selection exercise. Selection is conducted by a panel of senior academics. Demographic balance is taken into consideration where scores are equal.
