About This Programme

A three-year degree training oral hygienists and dental therapists to provide preventive and therapeutic oral health care.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 4 50–59%
  • Mathematics 4 50–59%
  • Life Sciences 7 80–100%
  • Physical Sciences 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC Bachelor's degree pass
  • NBT required
  • Job shadowing certificate required (minimum 16 hours)
Mathematics Literacy Level 7 accepted. Job shadowing from a Dentist/Dental Therapist/Oral Hygienist is mandatory. Observation hours must be completed between 1 July 2025 and 31 July 2026. Closing date 30 June 2026.
