Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering for prospective students with an NC(V)-4 qualification, offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at VUT.

Admission Requirements
Minimum APS score of 24 (excluding Life Orientation)

Required Subjects NSC levels

One of the following
  • Mathematics 4 50–59%
  • Vocational Maths 4 50–59%
  • Technical Maths 4 50–59%
One of the following
  • Physical Science 4 50–59%
  • Engineering Science 4 50–59%
  • Technical Science 4 50–59%
  • Vocational Science 4 50–59%
  • English language 4 50–59%

Life Orientation is excluded from the APS / score calculation.

For prospective students with NC(V)-4 qualification (Table 4). Technical & Vocational Science will be used for selection into Electrical Engineering only.
