Higher Certificate in Nursing Entry Requirements for 2026 at Life Healthcare

To apply for the Higher Certificate in Nursing at Life Healthcare for the 2026 academic year, applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  • Passed national senior certificate or senior certificate (grade 12) 
  • Language English at NSC achievement rating of 4 (50-59%)
  • Mathematical literacy at NSC achievement rating of 3 (40 – 49%)
  • Computer literacy at NSC achievement rating of 3 (40 – 49%)
  • Life Sciences at NSC achievement rating of 3 (40 – 49%)
  • International applicants should have a South African Qualifications Authority equivalency certificate

  • Click on the "Apply Now" button and fill in your personal information, academic history, and supporting documents (ID, matric certificate, etc.). Be sure to complete all fields accurately.
  • Pay the Life Healthcare application fee. The application fee for any programme offered at the College is R400.00 and must be paid prior to submitting the application form. A deposit slip or proof of electronic payment must be uploaded with this application form. The application fee is non-refundable.
  • Successful applicants will be contacted to attend an entrance exam and/or interview.
  • If accepted, you will receive a letter of admission and will be required to pay a registration fee to secure your place in the 2026 intake.
