Who can apply for MUT bridging courses?
The following students can apply for bridging courses at MUT:
- Students who do not meet the minimum entry requirements for direct admission into a degree or diploma programme
- Students who have completed their matric but did not achieve sufficient points in required subjects like Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or English
- Applicants who want to change careers but do not meet requirements
You must meet the following requirements to apply for MUT bridging courses:
- You must have completed matric
- You must have done Mathematics and science in high school
- You must have passed Mathematics and Physical Sciences with at least 40%
- You must have passed matric with a bachelor or diploma endorsement
- You must have passed English Home Language with at least 50%
- You must have passed English First Additional Language with at least 40%

2025 Late Applications Process for MUT Bridging Courses
Follow the easy steps below to apply at MUT through CAO for 2025:
- Visit the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za
- Click on the "apply" tab
- Read the information and click on the "continue with application" tab
- Enter your ID number or your Cao number. then click on submit
- Enter All the information requested. Once you have entered all the information requested, click 'Next'
- A pop-up will appear with your CAO Number, Password and EasyPay Number.
- Click 'Continue with Online Application'
- Capture your next of kin details
- Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results
- Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices)
- Check the information provided in the Summary of your application
- Click the 'Process My Application’ button at the end of the page
- Upload your supporting documents
- Pay your application fee online OR pay at an EasyPay Outlet
