The Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) has officially opened its late applications for the 2025 academic year. MUT 2025 late applications offer a second chance to students who missed the initial deadline. Late applications are available for all study programmes offered at MUT.

There are over 50 courses currently open for 2025 late applications at MUT. These available courses are open across various faculties for 2025 late applications. These courses are from the following faculties; Engineering, Natural Sciences, Management Sciences and Humanities. • MUT Late Applications Requirements

Before submitting your late application to the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) for 2025, it is important to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements for your chosen course, including the necessary Admission Points Score (aps). Each course has specific entry requirements, therefore download the MUT prospectus HERE. Remember meeting minimum admission requirements does not guarantee you a place at MUT. 

• MUT Late Applications Documents

You still need to attach documents with your application even during late applications at MUT. The following documents need to be attached on your application to be considered for 2025 admission:

• Your ID Copy
• Your Grade 12 final results
• Your qualification (If you have studied at another institution)
• Your academic record (If you have studied at another institution)

PLEASE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Your documents should be certified
• Documents older than 3 months will not be accepted
• Your documents must be scanned
• Your documents must be clear and readable

Here's how to apply online for 2025 late applications at the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)

All first year applications are submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a simplified way of applying for more than one programme and at different institutions, using one application form and paying a single application fee. Follow the easy steps below to apply at MUT through CAO for 2025:

Step 1: Visit the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za 

Step 2: Click on the "apply" tab

Step 3: Read the information and click on the "continue with application" tab

Step 4:  Enter your ID number or your Cao number. then click on submit 

Step 5: Click on the "continue with application" tab

Step 6: Enter All the information requested. Once you have entered all the information requested, click 'Next'

Step 7: A pop-up will appear with your CAO Number, Password and EasyPay Number.

The same information will also be sent to the email address you provided. This information is important in case you want to access your information at a later date.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED YOUR APPLICATION

Step 8: Click 'Continue with Online Application'

Step 9: Capture your next of kin details 

Step 10: Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results 

Step 11: Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices) 

Step 12: Check the information provided in the Summary of your application

Step 13: Click the 'Process My Application’ button at the end of the page

YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOW BEEN SUBMITTED

A message will be displayed on screen informing you that your submission has been successful

Step 14:  You can now upload your supporting documents and pay your application fee online OR pay at an EasyPay Outlet

Late Administration fee payable for South African citizens R470-00 & International applicants R580-00

Once your Administration fee has been received, your application will be made available to the institutions to which you have applied
