The University of Western Cape (UWC) general requirements:
- To apply at UWC you must have passed National Senior Certificate (NSC) certified by Umalusi.
- To apply at UWC you must have a minimum achievement rating of a 4 (50-59%) in four designated NSC subjects (If applying for bachelors degree)
- To apply at UWC you must have a minimum achievement rating of a 3 (moderate Achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects (If applying for Diploma Programme)
Overall, University of Western Cape has different admission requirements depending on the course you want to apply for. Some courses may require specific subjects at a certain level. For instance, the Faculty of Education requires English (Home or First Additional Language) at level 4 and Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy at level 3.
