About This Programme

A two-year diploma offering foundational training in civil engineering technology, providing an alternative entry route for qualified students into civil engineering study.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English 4 50–59%
  • Mathematics / Technical Mathematics 4 50–59%
  • Physical Science / Technical Science 4 50–59%
  • Two 20-credit subjects (not more than one language) 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Senior Cert: English and Maths and Phys Sci E HG/C SG
  • NC(V) Level 4 with 60% in English, LO, Maths and Phys Sci and 60% in two additional vocational subjects related to civil engineering
  • Mathematical Literacy will NOT be accepted as a substitute for Mathematics
  • N4 subjects may be considered for students who don't meet Maths/Phys Sci requirements
First preference is given to applicants who have never studied previously at any other university. Meeting minimum requirements does NOT guarantee selection. Closing date: 30 September. Indumiso Campus only.
