A four-year Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronic Engineering offered at Potchefstroom Campus under the Faculty of Engineering.

Admission Requirements
Minimum APS score of 34

Required Subjects percentage

  • Mathematics 70%
  • Physical Sciences 70%
One of the following
  • Afrikaans (HL or FAL) 60%
  • English (HL or FAL) 60%

Additional Requirements

  • A final Grade 12 Mathematics mark of 70% or higher
  • A final Grade 12 Physical Sciences mark of 70% or higher
  • A mark of 60% or higher in Afrikaans or English (language of instruction at either Home Language or First Additional Language level)
  • Students with 40%+ in both Mathematics and Physical Sciences and at least 60% in the language of instruction can apply for the 1-year XCel bridging programme
Prospective students who apply with borderline Grade 11 results may be conditionally accepted, provided they meet the above minimum requirements in their final Grade 12 results. Such applicants are encouraged to choose a second study option from a faculty other than Engineering.
