About This Programme

The BSc Augmented programme extends science degrees over four years to provide additional support in the foundational year. It is available in a wide range of science stream combinations.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • Mathematics 3 40–49%
  • Physical Sciences 3 40–49%
  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 3 40–49%

Additional Requirements

  • Applicants who have studied at tertiary institutions are not eligible. Offered on Main Campus only.
NSC Degree pass with English 3, Mathematics 3 and Physical Sciences 3. Matric Exemption: English 'E' HG and Mathematics 'E' HG/'C' SG and Physical Sciences 'E' HG/'C' SG. Available in over 30 combinations including: Applied Mathematics & Computer Science, Biochemistry & Botany, Chemistry & Mathematics, Computer Science & Mathematics, Geography & Hydrology, and many more.
