About This Programme

BSc Biochemistry is offered with second majors including Botany, Chemistry, Human Movement Science, Microbiology, or Zoology. Students study the chemical and molecular basis of life processes.

Required Subjects

  • Mathematics 4 50–59%
  • Physical Sciences 3 40–49%
  • Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences 4 50–59%
  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • First preference given to applicants with no prior tertiary study.
NSC Degree pass with English, Mathematics and Physical Sciences 4 and Life Sciences/Agricultural Sciences 4. Matric Exemption: 30 with English 'D'/'C' SG and Mathematics and Biology 'D' HG/'B' SG.
