NOTE:
Cape Peninsula University of Technology requirements vary depending on the course you are applying for but general requirements of CPUT include having national senior certificate, senior certificate, Grade 11 final report or equivalent certificate. Here are the categories of applicants who can apply during the2026 late period at CPUT
- First‑time applicants who didn’t apply during the main intake and want to study in 2026.
- Applicants with unused programme choices (if you only applied for one or two courses initially).
- Returning CPUT students who took a break and want to resume.
- Transfer students from other universities or programmes.
- Postgraduate applicants (Masters and Doctoral) — often have a later closing date.
Important: Not all faculties may accept late applications for all courses. Always check the latest list of available programmes before applying.
How to Apply for 2026 Late Application at CPUT
- Visit the CPUT website HERE.
- Click on the “Online Application” tab under step 4
- Click on "apply here" under no existing student number
- Answer few question then, accept the application rules and click "continue"
- Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
- Capture your next of kin information and click next to proceed with your application
- Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
- Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
- Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next";
- Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
- Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept"(twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
- Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
- Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
- Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
- Confirmation Page, end of application
CPUT Required Documents:
- certified copy of your identity document
- Certified copy of your Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Certified Grade 11 report (if you are currently in grade 12)
- Your grade 12 June report (if you are currently in grade 12)
