Courses Available at UJ for Late Applications 2026
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has confirmed a list of qualifications that still have space available for the 2026 academic year through its late application (late enquiry) process. The available programmes span undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels across several faculties and are subject to availability as well as applicants meeting the minimum admission requirements.
UJ’s late enquiry system is designed for prospective students who did not apply during the main application period or who wish to check for remaining spaces after the release of final Grade 12 results. The university has cautioned that submitting a late enquiry does not guarantee admission, as final selection is dependent on space and academic eligibility.

Important Information for Applicants
Only courses with available space will appear on UJ’s late enquiry system, and applicants will only be able to apply for qualifications for which they meet the minimum entrance requirements. Final selection decisions will be communicated via SMS or email.
UJ has confirmed that:
- Late enquiries are online only
- No walk-ins will be allowed at any campus
- Only South African residents may apply
- Transfer students and returning UJ students will not be considered
The UJ late enquiry system will open at 22:00 on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, and close at 20:00 on Monday, 19 January 2026.
Prospective students are encouraged to act quickly once the system opens, as space is limited and competition is expected to be high. These opportunities provide a valuable pathway into undergraduate and postgraduate study at one of South Africa’s leading universities in 2026.
