DUT is still accepting late applications for 2024
DUT (Durban University of Technology) 2024 late applications are officially open from 08 December to 31 March 2024. Individuals who were not able to apply in 2023 are now given an opportunity to submit their applications at DUT for admission.

How to apply at DUT for late applications online
Step by Step Guide on How to Apply Online through CAO at DUT for 2024 late applications
All first year applications are submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a simplified way of applying for more than one programme and more than one institution using one application form, and paying a single application fee.
Step 1: Visit the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za and click on the apply tab, then click on apply now.
Step 2: Enter your ID number or your Cao number.
Step 3: Enter your personal details then proceed, you will then get your Cao number and password
Step 4: Capture your next of kin details
Step 5: Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results
Step 6: Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices)
Step 7: Save your Cao number, password and the number to pay the application fee)
Step 8: Upload the required documents. After submitting your documents you can exit the application process.

Does DUT accept late applications?
Does DUT accept late applications? Yes, DUT does accept late applications but late applications are only considered if there are still spaces available in the programmes concerned. DUT can only accommodate a limited number of students per course.
What is the late application fee for DUT 2024?
The late application fee for DUT (Durban University of Technology) in 2024 is R470. You can pay the late application fee online or through EasyPay at Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Woolworths or any store displaying the EasyPay sign. Card payments can also be made at the CAO's office. The CAO office does not accept cash. The payment reference is your CAO Reference Number.
Does DUT allow walk ins in 2024?
DUT does not allow walk-ins for late applications in 2024. All late applications should be submitted online on the CAO website.
How to track DUT late application status
Visit the CAO website and click on check application status tab. You will then be required to enter your CAO or ID number. After entering your ID or CAO number you will be able to see your application status. If you have applied using a form, monitor your emails for feedback.
