What Is This Opportunity About?

The Department of Basic Education (DBE), in partnership with the Department of Employment and Labour (DEL), is offering temporary school assistant jobs through the Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI) Phase V. Successful applicants will work in public schools across the country from 01 June to 30 November 2025, supporting teaching, infrastructure, and learner care.

Available Roles Include:

• Education Assistant – Curriculum
• Education Assistant – ICT/e-Cadres
• Education Assistant – Reading Champions
• General School Assistant – Child & Youth Care Worker
• General School Assistant – Handyman (no matric required)
• General School Assistant – Sports and Enrichment Agent (no matric required)

Eligibility Criteria (Recap)
