Who Can Apply for the 2026 South African National Defence Force (SANDF) Intake?  

• Applicants must be South African citizens with no dual citizenship.
• Applicants should be between 18 and 22 years old if applying with a Grade 12 certificate or
• Applicants should be between 18 and 26 years old if applying with a completed tertiary qualification.
• Applicants must be physically and medically fit to perform military duties.
• Applicants should have no criminal record.
• Only unmarried individuals are eligible to apply.

Closing Date

Ensure that your SANDF 2026 application reach the regional offices before 28 March 2025. The South African Defence Force 2026 Applications received after the 28th of March 2025 will not be considered for admission. If you do not receive feedback by 31 December 2025, consider your application unsuccessful.
